Biographical/Historical Abstract:	The chemistry program was originally established in 1955, but by the 1960s it was incorporated into the general science department with other physical sciences. Eventually, chemistry again became an individual department within the School of Sciences and Engineering, offering an academic major, as well as minors in Archaeological Chemistry and Environmental Science.
Scope and Content Abstract:	Materials include correspondence, reports, memoranda, and/or other forms of documentation including pertaining mostly to personnel, and correspondence with other AUC departments or offices.
